My Story

I'm Troy Reardon. I grew up in the eastern suburbs of Sydney across from Long Bay Jail, raised by a hardworking mum who battled her own addictions while doing her best to keep our family afloat. My father left when I was a baby and also struggled with addiction. I was born with a large birthmark on my head and was bullied at school. I poured myself into sport to cope, but the pain didn't go away.

At 15 I found gambling. The rush and escape felt like a lifeline. That rush led to drinking, then drugs, and by 19 I was addicted to ice and trapped in a cycle of gambling, debt and self-destruction. I survived overdoses, nights with no sleep and constant shame. By 24 I'd hit rock bottom and didn't know where to turn.

One morning a friend helped me into detox and I completed a 30‑day rehab program. I committed to change, accepted help, and built a new life. Today I'm over nine years clean, sober and gamble‑free. Recovery taught me practical tools, accountability and the power of community — and it gave me my life back.

Now I mentor people one-on-one and run a focused gambling recovery community. I combine lived experience with proven strategies to help others break the cycle, rebuild confidence and move forward. If you're ready to change, I'll walk with you every step of the way.

I'm not a counsellor or a clinician. I'm a man who's been sober and gamble-free for nine years after two decades of addiction. What I offer is lived experience, structure, and real support — not therapy. If you need clinical help, I'll help you find it.

Most of the men I work with have tried something before. That's often why they come to me — they want someone who's actually been there, not someone who's read about it.

Yes. The 1-on-1 program is built around you. You can focus on one, two, or all three. For a lot of men, they're all tangled up anyway.

Yes. What we discuss stays between us. The community is private and only accessible to members.

Relapse isn't failure. It's information. We talk about what happened, we adjust, and we keep going. You don't get kicked out for slipping up.

Yes, family often gets in touch first. But you need to actually want to do the work yourself. I'll have a conversation with you first to make sure it's the right time.

The program is $300 in total. You can pay upfront or split into 4 payments of $75 via Afterpay, Zip, or Klarna — whichever works for you. The full program fee is committed once you start, even if you choose to step away early.

The 1-on-1 program is entirely online. The community is online. You can work with me from anywhere in Australia or internationally.
